After a two-year break, I have finally made time to update Kedzie's website. We have been quite busy adjusting to our new life in the South. Kedzie loves that we can play outdoors all year long, and she and I have developed a distaste for all those socks we used to wear in the Midwest. Sandals and Crocs are much more comfy!

Kedzie is learning a lot and has a passion for books, which of course, we love to see! She has to drag 10 books into bed with her every night, and how can I turn the light off if she wants to read? So, she usually falls asleep clutching a book in her hand. She is still our little journalist and likes to OBSERVE everything before jumping in with new people. This leads people to think she is the quietest, most well-behaved kid around. Ha. Don't be fooled. Once she feels comfortable, she is one loud, talkative, crazy kid. Her preschool teacher came to babysit at our house (major, major, major thrill for Kedzie), and said, "I can't believe how much Kedzie talked!" Well, we can. Brian swears that he's going deaf and has been known to drive the car with one hand covering his ear. Kedzie chatters away all day long and loves to sing and dance in the living room to Golden Oldies.

We are in a princess phase right now where we just can't get enough of Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and the gang. Of course, we are so near Disney that she has been a lucky kid and has gotten to visit the princesses several times, and she definitely thinks they are real. Her favorite activity by far is gymnastics class. She's graduated into a class where the moms watch instead of participate. It's amazing to see the little kids flip around the bars and walk on the high beam all by themselves. She is one tall drink of water, so I like to remind the teacher that she is only 3, even though she is as big as the 5-year-olds in the class.
